Please arrive 30 minutes early to ensure that you have adequate time to complete our new patient intake paperwork. If you prefer, you can download, print, and complete this paperwork prior to your visit, using this link. If you bring your completed paperwork with you, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Please arrive one hour before your scheduled procedure time. It takes time to prepare for your procedure including check-in, changing, blood work, and IVs. We want your experience to be as pleasant as possible, safe, and for you not be rushed.

How long will it take to get authorization for my procedure or MRI?
Insurance companies have their own requirements and process for authorization, it can be hard to predict how long your authorization will take. Some only take a few days, while others can take weeks for your insurance company to approve. In certain cases, patients can significantly expedite their authorization by contacting their insurance provider directly. You can always check on the status of your authorization request by calling us at 469-680-8899.

What is your policy on prescribing narcotics?
Patients who are prescribed narcotic medications for their condition will be required to undergo a psychologic evaluation, urine drug testing, and sign an agreement demonstrating understanding and informed consent for the use of controlled substances. Advanced Pain Institute of Texas will not fill prescriptions earlier than the indicated refill date due. Failure to take medication in accordance with the prescription may be regarded as non-compliance, and may result in no further narcotic prescribing for that patient.

How do I get my medication prescription refilled?
You may contact our office and leave a message for the medical assistant. Please allow our staff 2 business days to handle your prescription refill request. Prescriptions are not filled on Fridays, weekends, or holidays. You are responsible for planning for your refills.
